This is Way Cuil

Both Yahoo and Microsoft have been trying for years outperform Google in search, but to no avail. Google continues to recruit the best and the brightest minds including several mathematicians with php - sorry, PhDs - to improve its search algorithms. Consequently the gap between Google and its competitors widens, the company grows by leaps & bounds and its prophets - NAY, profits - are through the roof.
Comes now Cuil (pronounced “cool”), a search engine started founded by former employees of Google. Their game plan: To index more pages faster coupled with a different, perhaps more user friendly look and feel.
If ever there was a company to outdo Google in search this many be it.
Why?
1) They are (or at least will be) bigger. By indexing more that three times as many pages as does Google, Cuil plans to capture a bigger slice of the search pie. 2) The founders are former employees of Google who have something other competitors of Google don’t, namely,”insiders” knowledge about Google search infrastructure. 3) People may like their new look and feel.
All eyes will be on Cuil over the next 12 months. My prediction is that they will do very well, maybe even outperforming Yahoo and MSN. As to how they will fare against Google remains to be seen. Google isn’t one to allow dominance by a competitor, even if they have to adopt Cuil’s own game plan and strategy.
In any event this is “cool” news for Clickbank marketers. Competition in the marketplace will also mean more choices and lowers prices for customers! Cuil isn’t offering advertisement as yet, but when they do it will be a big opportunity for us marketers.
